Requirements 

The following elements are required to complete your matrimonial service at The Rahma Center: 

 

  • Bride and groom must each be present with a valid personal identification document 
  • A bride’s representative (wali) with a valid personal identification document 
  • Two male Muslim witnesses (shuhood), each with a valid personal identification document, must be present at the religious marriage ceremony  
  • A County-issued marriage license 
  • One meeting with the Sheikh prior to the matrimonial service date
  • A completed Matrimonial Service Registration form (below) submitted at least two weeks prior to the requested matrimonial service date

* Accepted personal identification documents: valid State Identification card (I.D.), valid State Driver’s License or a valid U.S. passport.

Cost

Rahma Center offers two services for onsite matrimonial services:

  • Officiation only – a 30-minute window to complete the ceremony in the officiant’s office between 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm on Saturdays. The fee of $500 includes a religious marriage certificate. Full payment must be made prior to booking any services. Limited to a maximum capacity of 6 people, including the bride and groom.

 

  • Officiation and Ceremony – a two-hour window to complete the ceremony in the Musallah area between 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm on Saturdays. The fee of $1000 also includes a religious marriage certificate. Full payment must be made prior to booking any services. Limited to a maximum capacity of 125 people.
