Requirements
The following elements are required to complete your matrimonial service at The Rahma Center:
- Bride and groom must each be present with a valid personal identification document
- A bride’s representative (wali) with a valid personal identification document
- Two male Muslim witnesses (shuhood), each with a valid personal identification document, must be present at the religious marriage ceremony
- A County-issued marriage license
- One meeting with the Sheikh prior to the matrimonial service date
- A completed Matrimonial Service Registration form (below) submitted at least two weeks prior to the requested matrimonial service date
* Accepted personal identification documents: valid State Identification card (I.D.), valid State Driver’s License or a valid U.S. passport.
Cost
Rahma Center offers several weekend options for onsite matrimonial services:
- Saturday Officiation only – a 30-minute window to complete the ceremony in the officiant’s office on Saturdays between 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm for a fee of $500, or between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm for a fee of $1000. The fee includes a religious marriage certificate. Full payment must be made prior to booking any services. Limited to a maximum capacity of 6 people, including the bride and groom.
- Saturday Officiation and Ceremony – a two-hour window to complete the ceremony in the Musallah area on Saturdays between 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm for a fee of $1000, or between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm for a fee of $1500. The fee includes a religious marriage certificate. Full payment must be made prior to booking any services. Limited to a maximum capacity of 125 people.
- Sunday Officiation and Ceremony – a one-hour window to complete the ceremony in in the officiant’s office or the Musallah area on Sundays between 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm for a fee of $2000, or between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm for a fee of $2000. The fee includes a religious marriage certificate. Full payment must be made prior to booking any services. Limited to a maximum capacity of 125 people.
