At Rahma Center Counseling, we work with a range of personality-related challenges, including borderline, narcissistic, avoidant, obsessive-compulsive, and other personality patterns that may impact how individuals experience themselves and connect with others.
We understand that these patterns are not simply “who someone is,” but often reflect deeper emotional wounds, early relational experiences, and unmet needs that have shaped how a person learns to cope, protect themselves, and navigate the world. Many individuals may feel misunderstood, judged, or labeled, leading to experiences of isolation, shame, or difficulty maintaining stable relationships.
Our approach is centered on helping clients develop deeper self-awareness, emotional insight, and a more compassionate understanding of themselves. Through a safe, consistent, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space, we work to identify patterns in thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, while supporting clients in building healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
We focus on strengthening emotional regulation, improving interpersonal effectiveness, and fostering a more stable sense of identity and self-worth. At the same time, we gently explore the underlying emotional and relational wounds that contribute to these patterns, supporting meaningful and lasting change over time.
Through a faith-informed lens, we emphasize compassion, accountability, and growth. We support clients in reconnecting with a sense of purpose and dignity, helping them move away from shame-based narratives and toward a more balanced understanding of themselves, rooted in mercy, self-awareness, and intentional change.
